Description
DAVINA is a series about gender roles and identity. Its starting point is the face of David—an icon of classic masculinity—which is painted over and transformed with lipstick. David becomes DAVINA. Societal pressure shapes who we are and what we present to the world. The overpainting makes this visible: new characters emerge, masculinity is questioned, and identity remains in flux.
